Wind Damage in London

How can you prevent wind damage?
Spring is here and so is storm season. This week alone, our meteorologist has predicted more bad weather for our area in London.
Prevention: Do a checklist of your home before bad weather sets in. Look for downed power lines, trees that have rotted or seem weak, limbs that hang down, or even outdoor equipment/furniture that could be picked up by heavy winds. These pieces could be slung into your home and create damage.
Roof: Get a checkup on your roof. If you cannot, have a professional look for misplaced shingles, or other damages. See if you need a fix or a new roof before bad weather.
Insurance: Have a sit down with your insurance agent. See what needs to be updated to your insurance policy to protect you from wind damage.
Assess Damages: When the heavy winds or storms are over, go a look over your property to make sure nothing is out of place. You want to catch any damages early, so they do not create secondary damages. You also want to make sure they are covered on your policy so you can file a claim or get help for damage cleanup from a professional.
