Recently, the rains have picked up and flooding has occurred all around our local area. Several homes were completely flooded and the customers had to evacuate. The water crested within a few days, but the damage had been done.

We all want to keep our homes and families safe during this time. The best way to keep your family safe is through an at-home kit. It's all about safety first and planning information out before the storm hits.

FEMA gives us great tips on how to get started preparing our families and ourselves for storms:

  • How will I receive emergency alerts and warnings?
  • What is my shelter plan?
  • What is my evacuation route?
  • What is my family/household communication plan?
