Is your bedroom fire proof?

We are guessing the answer is no to that question. Majority of home fires are due to smoking in the bedroom. Think about it-- tons of bed linens, pillows, and clothes -- it's a fire hazard waiting to happen.

The best way you can protect your home against fires (unless you are willing to fireproof your entire house) is to keep anything that can catch other things on fire out of the bedroom.

Yes, that includes candles.

Anything with an open flame can catch onto linen so quickly that your entire bedroom can be up in flames before you even realize it is happening.

Keep open flames and tobacco products that can be ignited out of the bedroom too. It' the best way to keep your bedroom "fire-proof." We know other things can happen for fires to occur, but why not take out any hazards that are in your control?

We want to keep you and your family safe -- follow these tips London, Somerset, Corbin, and Hyden to keep your home away from the flames.
